Visited M/s MSV Laboratories, Medinipur(E), West Bengal part of during

January 14-15, 2019 as part of Technology Development Board regarding

the project on use of Irradiated Cow Dung Compost (CDC) as carrier in

production of bio-fertilizers. MSV had earlier proposed Ratulia as the

site, however, due to objection from AERB on non-meeting of criterion

the site was proposed to be changed to Kanakpur. Kanakpur is ~20 km

from Ratulia a where the company already has a production and storage

facility for bio-fertilizers. The new proposed site is good and close to an

existing road. It will construction of an approach road and needs filling to

raise the level to enable the irradiator base to be above the road level.

The construction of the plant is expected to take off now and can be

complete by middle of next year.
