Adhoc Meeting of Stakeholder States Involved with Technological Alternatives

Participated in the Adhoc Meeting of Stakeholder States Involved with Technological Alternatives to High-Activity Radioactive Sources held at Imperial Riding School Renaissance Hotel, Vienna during May 23-24, 2019. The meeting included presentations which brought out examples of alternative technologies having replaced radioisotope-based technologies. The major thrust of the meeting was interactions between different delegates which took place in three breakout sessions. These interactions brought out the emerging technologies and the transitioning issues and needs connected with those. The discussions were useful as these helped different stakeholders to learn from each other in their in replacing the radioisotope based technologies to achieve their common goal of higher global security.
